[B] Scope of Service:

(1) Vendor needs to provide employee welfare, health, and occupational medical consulting services for health and wellness program that will be provide employee wellness activities such as health screenings, educational seminars, wellness and fitness classes, incentive programs, and utilizes communication channels such as web, social media, and a monthly newsletter. The occupational medical services, which includes fire and rescue occupational medical services team provides multi-disciplinary occupational medical services, such as work related medical and safety hazard assessments to promote the health, fitness for duty, medical reviews for accommodations, injury care and prevention, and wellness programs to ensure the health and productivity of the county workforce. OMS also administers the County's drug and alcohol and centralized family and medical leave programs. to the government authority located in Rockville, MD.
# Scope of Services
- Develop an action plan to evaluate workplace wellness initiatives and programs, including but not limited to, exercise/activity levels, weight management, nutrition, smoking cessation, chronic disease management, and customized solutions that focus bridging the gap between OMS/FROMS and the wellness program.
- Review prescription drug plans to ensure new contract are aligned with approved plan design and provisions within the county’s collective bargaining agreements.
- Provide guidance on developing union specific wellness programs that are in line with collectively bargained terms.
- Strategic planning efforts to brief and educate the new administration, not only on benefit plan history, but also to identify and develop opportunities for progressive/proactive change to meet the goals and objectives of the new county executive.
- Review, evaluate, and provide support and/or recommendations on OMS/FROMS’ existing program offerings, gaps in coverage in care, identify areas of improved efficiency, and potential changes to the organizational structure.
- Prepare a menu of financial measurement and reporting templates to track and evaluate progress and success of implemented strategies for both wellness and OMS.
(2) Contract period will be for one year.
