[B] Scope of Service:

(1) Vendor needs to provide innovative intensive school-based mental health services providing intensive supports in collaboration with Schools staff and with enough frequency to address the mental health needs of students. School-based mental health services will be provided during the school year consistent with and will be integrated into the school day to enhance the academic and behavioural performance of students while minimizing significant loss of instructional time. Agencies are encouraged to propose mental health services designed specifically for children, grades K-5, with delivery appropriate for various developmental levels of students, required components should address mental health services with emphasis on trauma-focused strategies that can be implemented in both school and community settings. Treatment plans developed in collaboration with families and school personnel should address goals to improve functional skills to allow students to perform in the mainstream educational setting, maintain residence with a family or community based non-institutional setting and maintain appropriate role functioning in community settings, include a description of supports given within the classroom in partnership with teachers, school counselors, school social workers, and school nurses, Particularly address how you will provide innovative individual, group, or family therapy that supports positive and measurable educational outcomes for students, Proposals should address how agencies integrate services and supports with schools to improve student outcomes when services are provided in other settings, such as Intensive In-home, MST, Intercept, Peer Supports, Outpatient Plus, or other community services and supports, Proposals should include plan for how you will collaborate with other local community agencies and providers (DJJ, DSS, private and public mental health, etc.) To help provide a continuum of care, Schools administration will collaborate with agencies to utilize our staff to the maximum extent necessary to achieve stated program outcome goals, Provide core Social-Emotional Learning instruction, Supplemental behaviour interventions, and Intensive interventions to support services of our school-based providers in a Multi-tiered System of Support model, staff will facilitate a referral and release process and partner with agency staff in contacting guardians and coordinating initiation of services, Administrators, counselors, and Exceptional Children’s staff will offer assistance as needed with scheduling and other logistics to support students’ access to treatment, Include school-based therapists in relevant professional development and  Support integration of services by facilitating a multi-agency School Mental Health Team to collect and evaluate data on our continuum, evidence-based strategies, outcomes and funding to the government authority located in North Carolina.
